As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are committed to creating opportunities for lasting change. We believe every person deserves a second chance, and with the right support and environment, they can build a purposeful, stable future.

Our mission is to empower individuals with resources and support to create stability and independence.

Meet Our Founder, Breyona Ballard

Breyona Ballard is the visionary behind Purposeful Pathways Inc., an organization born from both personal experience and professional passion. While pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work at Morgan State University, Breyona balanced the demands of full-time work, rigorous coursework, and internships—all while managing significant financial responsibilities. Like many, her greatest challenge was maintaining stable housing.

Through this journey, Breyona recognized a powerful truth: housing instability can be one of the biggest barriers preventing individuals from reaching their full potential. Inspired by her own experiences, she founded Purposeful Pathways Inc. to support individuals who have goals, ambition, and vision—but face obstacles when it comes to securing stable housing.

As a social worker, Breyona has worked closely with clients facing similar struggles. She saw her own story reflected in theirs—individuals striving for success but held back by housing and financial instability. This fueled her mission to create pathways for others, ensuring they have the stability and support needed to pursue their goals with confidence.

Purposeful Pathways Inc. stands as a reflection of Breyona’s commitment to empowering individuals, removing barriers, and helping communities thrive—because everyone deserves a fair chance to succeed.
